Deposits being accepted at this time for our future litter.
Due to the new USDA (Nov. 2013) laws we can no longer ship our dogs. All sales must take place in a face to face setting. We are offering to meet families at a reasonable distance. Please let us know if you need this assistance at the time of application. Please note there will be a small fee if distance is more than 2 hours round trip, unless we are headed to Alabama to see our daughter then we can meet up closer to you and your family.

Hi, we are breeders of some wonderful miniature schnauzers located in Kentucky. We have blacks, black & Silvers, light and dark salt & pepper miniature schnauzers puppies available throughout the year.
Our mission is to produce health quality miniature schnauzers, ones that we would want to cherish for many years to come. When we bring our own breeding stock into the program, we do it one puppy at time, to make sure they receive the training, socialization, love, support that a schnauzer is entitled to have. We carefully select each breeder we have dealt with, and are very careful with each mating we do, as the top question I always ask myself, "WOULD I WANT THIS PUPPY WITH THE SAME TEMPERAMENT, HEALTH, and QUALITY as these parents?"
We also do NOT produce on demand, and we will never have puppies all year around. That is INSANE to do and torture to a schnauzer. First and foremost, our schnauzers are living and breathing animals...not a money maker. We have outside income coming in called employment. Our schnauzers are our hobby and enjoyment. Ask yourself how a breeder can take care of many litters at once, or has litters as soon as the other puppies leaves out. Breeding should be an enjoyment, not an job. We do not take expensive vacations, or live off of what we produce here, the money received from each puppy goes back into breeding, such as privacy fence, grooming material, better pedigrees, food, medical, vet bills, raising our litters to the age of 10 weeks. A litter of 4 puppies cost us an average of $2000 to properly take care of and vet checked 3 times and given the proper socialization, toys, training, and gift items they will receive, registration of a litter, medical and new items for their mothers when they whelp a litter (towels, blankets, sheets) per litter if items become damaged. None of this is showing how much it takes us to health test each adult that we do, the cost of raising, etc of the parents.
We do not breed for the designer colors such as liver, parti, liver/tan, Merle schnauzers, brindle or the blue eye schnauzer. Please research the breeder prior to purchasing any of these colors as they come up with many reasons or try to explain the colors to convince a new puppy buyer. Such as "has no care to follow a bunch of fat rich people 100 years ago" say what she can breed, but discredit other breeders for breeding the same thing. This sends up a God Complex when those that break against the standard and feel they can do whatever to the breed but wants everyone else to believe they are the only one that does breed correct. Standard is set for a reason and it has nothing to do with being rich and fat. You either breed to the standard that was set by our forefathers for the breed or you breed outside the standard and you end up with a question marked being tagged.
We have been told and asked many times where did the merle come from as when they speak to the merle breeder they are told it came from when they first mixed the schnauzer to reduce the size to get a miniature, this is further from the truth. The merle was just recently produced by mixing a different breed in with the schnauzer to get this "designer color". As for the blue eye schnauzer, as AKC informed me, if the breeder states the two parents are the "parents" then they will register them AKC, its very easy to lie. The brindle is based on the same with AKC, as they feel its the breeder that should be honest and they will not police the correct colors on dogs, its a "honor system" within the breeders and AKC. Many breeders will come up with reasons on why they are breeding outside the standard of schnauzer, and even blow a few whistles how they take care of their animals. But by being selective, you will realize that the ones that breed to the standard are the ones that truly care for the breed while others have another reason. I can assure you it is not about what they like, but what they think will bring in more money. So even when you see a cute little dog make sure they are ALWAYS producing to the standard, the standard of the breed is Black, Black & Silver, and Salt & Pepper any other color is only to profit from and health, temperament and confirmation is always last. Ethics and standard being followed is a A+ breeder anything outside that is always up for questioned.
We breed high quality AKC Miniature Schnauzers with great conformation, as well as temperament and health. Our puppies will be well socialized and started on potty training prior to leaving. We strive in every way to give you a beautiful healthy family member.
We strive to produce the best when it comes to the schnauzers. We do not breed for "toy nor "teacup" schnauzers. We can only guess a size of a miniature and note their weight on our site, however we cannot guarantee what they will become.
They are handled from day one, and started on training and socialization skills at 3 weeks of age. They are allowed to roam the house starting at 6 weeks old at different times of the day. All SnowboundSchnauzers are use to the noise level of any household.
We are one of the few breeders that offer a lifetime health guarantee for any life genetic defects as long as we are still breeding that will cause the life of your puppy. We also want you to know we will take a Snowbound schnauzer back if you can no longer take care of him/her and find a pet home for you.
